Welcome to Valcy. By using our website (valcy-web.vercel.app) or our software application (Valcy Desktop App / iOS App), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of the Software

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to download, install, and use the Valcy software on your personal devices for your personal or business dictation needs.

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify any part of the software.
  • Abuse our APIs or use automated scripts to overload our Cloud transcription services.
  • Resell or redistribute the software to third parties.

2. Free Trial & Subscriptions

  • Free Trial: We offer a 5-day completely free trial with full access to all features (no credit card required).
  • Billing: If you choose to subscribe after the trial, you will be billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis ($7/mo for Mac, $5/mo for iOS).
  • Cancellations: You can cancel your subscription at any time directly through the app settings (Settings → Account). Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again.

3. Local & Cloud Features

Valcy offers both offline (Local Mode) and online (Cloud Mode) capabilities. For Cloud Mode, transcription speed is subject to network latency and third-party API availability. We strive to maintain maximum uptime, but we are not liable for any issues caused by third-party server outages.

4. Payment Processing & Security

All subscription payments are handled securely by Stripe. We do not store or see your credit card data. Payment disputes or refund requests are governed by Stripe's policies and handled directly by contacting our support email.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Valcy is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive to deliver a flawless, high-quality experience, we do not warrant that the software will be completely free of minor bugs, stutters, or interruptions.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valcy and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the website or software.
