Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 11, 2026

At Valcy, your privacy is our primary design principle. We believe that your voice is your own, and what you dictate should remain private. This Privacy Policy explains how Valcy handles your voice data, transcripts, and account information.

1. Local Mode (Offline Transcription)

When you configure Valcy to run in Local Mode:

  • All voice recording, noise suppression, and transcription happens entirely on your local machine.
  • Your voice audio and transcription outputs never leave your device.
  • No internet connection is required or used to perform transcription.

2. Cloud Mode (Online Transcription)

When you configure Valcy to run in Cloud Mode:

  • Audio recordings are securely sent over encrypted HTTPS connections to secure transcription APIs (such as Groq Whisper).
  • These APIs process your audio in real-time, generate the text transcript, and instantly return it to your machine.
  • Your audio is processed dynamically and is never stored, retained, or used to train any AI models.

3. Data We Collect

We do not track, collect, or store what you dictate. The only data we collect is:

  • Account Information: Your email address when you sign up for an account.
  • Subscription Data: Payment details processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.
  • Basic Diagnostics: Optional, anonymous error logs to help us fix software bugs and crashes. You can disable this in settings.

4. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone. Your transcripts are never shared with third parties under any circumstances.

5. Your Rights and Access

Since we do not store your transcripts, there is no history of your dictation for us to show or delete. If you want to delete your account or change your email address, you can manage this directly in settings or contact us at raghav10f10@gmail.com.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our app features or privacy laws. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy here.

7. Contact Us

If you have any questions or concerns about how your data is handled, please contact us directly at raghav10f10@gmail.com.
